What if I have a complaint?
We are determined to provide the easiest and best way to buy furniture, and we are not satisfied unless all our customers are delighted with their purchase and their experience of shopping at Heirloom Furniture. In the unlikely event that you do not enjoy your experience of shopping with us, please tell us by email or telephone us on 075796166. We will acknowledge your complaint within one working day and will do our very best to resolve it as speedily as possible. Where a complaint has not been resolved within one week, you will receive weekly updates on its progress.

Do Heirloom Furniture's prices include GST?
All prices quoted by us include GST at 12.5%

What if I'm unable to take delivery of my order when its ready?
If you are having work done in your home please be aware that building projects are frequently delayed. If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture when it is ready we will store it for you free of charge for up to 3 months, as long as the items have been paid for in full.

Does the furniture arrive in one piece
Yes apart from the beds.

Do the beds come disassembled?
Yes to both, footboard, headboard, a pack containing side rails, another for slats. Where there are four posters, roof surround and curtain pole.

Are the beds easy to put together ?
Yes, male and female double matting hooks and traditional bed bolts. A thin screwdriver or nail punch to tighten our custom made bolts beyond this nothing else. Due to the construction no matter how many times you take the beds apart, they stay as strong as the first time!

What care is required?
None, other than damp dusting and maybe household polish, keep away from direct heat source. Once a year you could bath the furniture in boiled linseed oil.

What size mattresses do your beds take?
Standard N.Z sizes.

What supports the mattress?
There are 16 thick hardwood slats bound together on both sides of the centre rail which runs from headboard to footboard. The result is no movement and makes the bed very strong!

Freight charges ?
We contribute to the freight charge, please request a quotation.

Can I come and see your furniture, or do I have to buy on-line?
We do not have a traditional shop or showroom. Our aim is to pass on the savings we make in not having this facility to you. All our reproduction furniture is in a warehouse, packed up and ready to send out. If there is a specific piece you would like to look at before buying we can arrange for it to be unpacked for your inspection. Please give us a ring a couple of days before you intend visiting so that we can ensure there is someone around to look after you. You don't have to buy online, and we welcome orders over the phone, by post, or of course if you visit. We operate with very low overheads so we don't have a permanent retail base, we welcome viewing of our furniture in Papamoa. (Please come and visit, simply give us a call to arrange)

How long can we expect the furniture to last?
If treated with care and not abused longer than your lifetime. Our furniture is solid mahogany kiln dried hardwood with a very hard wearing finish. There is no MDF to damage or veneer to scratch through or peel off or softwoods in any part of construction.
